Recruiting allowed me to speak accounting with candidates and clients, while simultaneously developing human relationships. I consider myself a connector, and I take pride in my position of catalyst and my central role as the bridge between clients and candidates.The ability to listen is the most important skill you need for becoming a recruiter. Understanding the goals of your candidates and your clients requires you to listen carefully and ask the right questions. Also, dont underestimate the power of flexibility. Understand that not everyones goals fit into your agenda. As recruiters, our agenda falls to the backburner. Our commitment always stands with servic ing our clients and candidates to the best of our ability.What is the best part of a career in recruiting? I enjoy the ability to make a tangible difference in someones career. Recruiters should also be known as career counselors. Candidates dont always recognize the right decision they should make to accelerate their careers. Its our responsibility to advise them to succeed.
